Suffocate your enemies with this strategy: http://oi61.tinypic.com/28utjxt.jpg

It's actually a great way to get gold if you have the landlord upgrade, and it gives you even more gold if you have the assassin upgrade.

I dominated the later levels by just filling up the whole map with towers.

Nice game. Felt like another boring half-assed clone at first, but it turned out to be inspired and original. Good enough to keep me playing to the end. I got all the awards, but I'm not going to bother getting all the stars because some of those stars are just obnoxious.

No spell hotkeys? Really?

Also, how does it calculate your accuracy? Does it count as a miss if you hit a monster and your shot doesn't kill it in one hit? I literally made sure I didn't miss once, and it still said I only had 79% accuracy.

Shouldn't the game reward you for doing better? The fastest way to get money is to just grab a clump of money near the start and then die. Getting farther up just makes more dangerous hazards appear. Shouldn't there be a money bonus based on how far you got like in launch games? At least make the coins be worth more the higher you go.

You need some invincibility after you die and come back. I made it to the boss with 3 lives and died almost immediately.

codemonkey77 responds:

Yeah, I know I did plan to add that in soon, along with a few additional features.

People are saying this is a Unity tutorial. Does that mean it's using stolen code and assets?

Anyway, the controls take some getting used to, but they're passable for a mouse-based flight simulator.

I would've liked to have seen some in-game instructions and options. I had no idea if there was a way to beat levels or if it's just a sandbox game. I also don't know if you're on your own or if you have allies. The white text showing your armor and stuff is hard to read against a lot of backgrounds. And I have no idea how to dodge attacks anyway. Your author comments mention unlocking more advanced aircraft, but I didn't see that anywhere in the game. There's not so much as a settings menu where people can, you know, invert the controls or something. You also mention seeing how we rank against our friends, but I didn't see any high scores.

Really annoying to not be able to change your path once you're already moving.

^^ that's the challenge :D think before click ;) if i take that away, actually the game becomes too easy :)

You'd think if you're gonna have a game where the character moves excruciatingly slow, he'd at least move a little faster when he's on fire.

I found a glitch where if you press X to beat a level twice in a row, you can skip the next level.

This game is way too tedious, though. Too much waiting around for moving platforms and stuff. I'm quitting because I died well into level 18 and don't want to have to do all the boring stuff over again.

Shameless ripoff. Upgrades too slowly. Too difficult to get "perfect runs." Too many quests involving perfect runs. Not clear what many of the upgrades do. Game ends long before you've completed all quests.

It's not exactly fun just sitting and watching people repair stuff.

If you're the AI, how come all you can do is talk to people? Shouldn't the ship's computer be able to control the ship?

You put a fast-forward button in there. I feel like you should be able to use it more often.

What's the goal? Is there a way to lose? What's with the snakes? What's with the ships that fly at each other and explode? Why would I want to upgrade the ships?

MakeGamesHappen responds:

Goal: Just to gain points.
Lose: Nope. The snakes can steal your gems, but that is it.
Snakes: They steal your points if they touch the sparkles. Think maybe I should
have made them go directly after them.

Ships:
You get points for the ships you destroy. So upgrading how fast they spawn upgrades how quickly you can make money.

Hopefully that answers it all. Though by me having to answer these questions tells me the game design is severely lacking. Which I take full responsibility for.
