Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 7 / 10

Pretty cute artwork, though it looks a bit sloppy.

### Originality: 9 / 10

Great idea for a mouse precision game.

### Challenge: 9 / 10

I had to try many times to get it right, but it always feels fair. The bugs react the way you'd expect them to.

### Fun factor: 7 / 10

It's a fun game but it's a bit repetitive.

### Content: 3 / 10

I definitely like the inclusion of multiple game modes, but it's too bad there's only one kind of bug.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 5 / 10

There are some nice effects but none of the art looks particularly good.

### Originality: 2 / 10

Even if Vampire Survivors was never made, there would still be plenty of games like this.

### Challenge: 7 / 10

This really has a surprising amount of challenge for a grindy upgrade fest. I feel like skill has a bigger part to play than the power obtained from leveling, particularly because there's a lot of strategy involved in picking the right upgrades. There's also a lot of skill involved in moving around and finding a path through the chaos, even though attacking is automatic.

### Fun factor: 6 / 10

I am again surprised by how fun this was, considering that it's a game where I have to replay the same thing over and over again for hours. It feels really polished, like a lot of care was given to balance.

### Content: 9 / 10

Tons of interesting enemies and weapons and upgrades, and the upgrades come in two forms: the shop between plays and the level-up cards. It's just too bad it's all played in one bare room.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 4 / 10

Pretty basic visuals.

### Originality: 2 / 10

Just going around interacting with the usual stuff. The single-key rotating mechanic is kind of unusual.

### Challenge: 10 / 10

Great progression from easy to hard. You really make sure we gotta use our skills and turn at just the right times. I see you've cleverly prevented us from turning around by pressing the mouse button and the E key simultaneously, because you ignore additional inputs until the button is released.

### Fun factor: 6 / 10

I really had to try that last level over and over again which got a bit frustrating, but fortunately the game lets me practice my skills each time I go over the level.

### Content: 8 / 10

Really nice amount of levels and level elements.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 0 / 10

Awful to look at, and appears to just use graphics taken from other places.

### Originality: 0 / 10

Nothing original to speak of.

### Challenge: 2 / 10

I suppose there is a bit of a trick to avoiding Jeff.

### Fun factor: 1 / 10

Not fun.

### Content: 0 / 10

There's almost nothing here.

My review may seem harsh but I'm being a lot more critical than usual for this judge role and I want you to feel encouraged rather than discouraged when it comes to making more games. Good job learning to use Scratch! Keep at it!)

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 8 / 10

Gory but good.

### Originality: 7 / 10

I love games about picking up and throwing everything. I think it's an underused mechanic.

### Challenge: 9 / 10

Very freaking difficult. I love how much strategy is involved in hiding behind walls and using doors as shields and deflecting bullets at your attackers and making them attack each other. My final score was 800.

### Fun factor: 8 / 10

Throwing things at other things over and over again is unsurprisingly very fun. I wish more things could be destroyed without having to pick them up though. And it's very annoying that G is the only key we can use.

### Content: 7 / 10

There are a ton of different possible objects to pick up, but the size of the one level left me wanting more. I think I found a bug where doors get duplicated, i.e. you throw a door and then there are two doors on the ground.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 2 / 10

The visuals are better than nothing, but not by much.

### Originality: 8 / 10

It's actually a pretty great idea having three different types of blocks that you destroy in different ways that all involve clicking. If you use the wrong method on a block, it will take longer.

### Challenge: 7 / 10

Having to juggle the multiple block types is like rubbing your stomach while patting your head. It's a little too hard right from the beginning though, so it really needs to start easy and get harder.

### Fun factor: 3 / 10

One obvious problem is that the game doesn't have any way of measuring your performance, so not only is there no way to win, you don't even get the reward of seeing your own score.

### Content: 1 / 10

Just three destructible block types and one indestructible block type.

That is the best review my games have ever received.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 5 / 10

The pixel art is kind of cute I guess. I'm not sure why Santa has two sleighs and no reindeer. It's too bad the birds blend in with the coins so well.

### Originality: 2 / 10

The only new thing I see here is the idea of Santa delivering an anvil. This actually has a lot in common with my games Strange Thoughts and Dropping Loads, the latter of which was for a game jam where our team's objective was to use "lighten" as a core mechanic. Your game would've served that goal as well.

### Challenge: 8 / 10

It's certainly difficult and increases difficulty well over time, but the skill and strategy involved are pretty basic.

### Fun factor: 5 / 10

It requires a lot of button mashing, which could be improved by allowing us to press multiple different keys so we could alternate. It's also very slow at the beginning so it takes a long time to get up to speed every time we die. Maybe require fewer coins to advance for the earlier gifts.

### Content: 3 / 10

Just one type of enemy, one type of coin, etc.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 9 / 10

Great animations and effects all around.

### Originality: 1 / 10

Pretty basic arena shooter with clear Binding of Isaac inspiration.

### Challenge: 8 / 10

When I was practicing my dodging, I noticed what might be a bug where you dodge into a group of enemies and then they deal more than one damage to you. On my first genuine attempt at the game I was able to beat it on my first try without any need to dodge, but I did only have one heart left so it was a close call.

### Fun factor: 7 / 10

Pretty fun running around shooting stuff as usual.

### Content: 6 / 10

Short but sweet.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 3 / 10

The visuals aren't particularly interesting but they work well enough for this kind of thing.

### Originality: 9 / 10

It's a great idea for a simulation sandbox, and we don't see a lot of this kind of thing.

### Challenge: 3 / 10

It's a little unfair to judge this as a game since it's not a game and I don't know what to do with this category. I'll say it works well enough without a challenge because it's not supposed to have one.

### Fun factor: 4 / 10

I guess it's fun enough to manipulate the world and make the people fight.

### Content: 3 / 10

There are a handful of things to do in this project, though it's a shame the controls aren't included in the interface and they're not discoverable.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 6 / 10

Nice work on the 3D graphics, though they do look sort of unrefined and amateurish.

### Originality: 2 / 10

Kind of an ordinary walking simulator with nothing new to offer. Not sure what concept this is supposed to prove.

### Challenge: 2 / 10

There's not much challenge when it comes to following your compass, and I only got the bad ending first because I wanted to see what would happen if I didn't run.

### Fun factor: 5 / 10

I got a kick out of seeing a 3D game here, and it does run pretty smoothly even if there's not much to do. I wasn't happy that I had to redo everything to get the second ending. It should really restart you at the point where you start running.

### Content: 4 / 10

Two endings on a small island with a few locations. The flashlight and compass work well.
