Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 6 / 10

Cool graphics.

### Originality: 5 / 10

I guess the idea is pachinko but with shooting and destroying things.

### Challenge: 5 / 10

I feel like I'm missing out on the pachinko challenge that I assume is supposed to be there. Rather than trying to aim so that balls bounce on the pegs to reach their goals, I'm just firing all over the place to destroy everything. It doesn't feel like there's a lot of skill involved.

### Fun factor: 6 / 10

Even with the improvements you've made, it still feels a bit awkward. I was very confused by holding down Z to see the projectile path because if a key shows a trajectory like that it's usually because releasing the key will shoot. I don't know why your projectile path isn't just always visible.

### Content: 6 / 10

Five levels isn't bad I suppose. I thought the boss was broken at first because he went off the top of the screen when I got him down to half health. I would've given up but I left the game running while I was writing this review and then I saw the boss finally come back down.

Thank you very much for reviewing my game! Agree that the challenge in these first few levels is low, I will work on making the rest of the game more challenging as the game progresses. I hadn't thought of making the projectile path visible all the time, I think I can maybe add a feature that lets the player toggle it from the Options menu and play how they prefer without having to worry about holding down a button.
I'm sorry that the boss glitched out on you, that was not supposed to happen. I will work to resolve that bug, thanks for letting me know!
I'm very grateful that you took the time to play and review the whole game. I hope you will try the full game (or the updated demo) on Steam. Thanks!!

It's neat that you included two sets of graphics, but once I got stuck in 8-bit mode I felt like I wasn't even able to view most of the game. It was more like a blur effect.

### Originality: 2 / 10

It's the usual platforming but with some weird charge-up mechanic I couldn't quite understand.

### Challenge: 8 / 10

It was definitely hard to escape the levels after waking up the clock, but I didn't grasp the skills well enough to tell if it's being fair.

### Fun factor: 5 / 10

It has the potential to be pretty fun with the wall running and stuff.

### Content: 7 / 10

There are actually a nice amount of levels here.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 2 / 10

Very basic graphics. Nice blood splatters I guess.

### Originality: 1 / 10

I've played tons of games just like this.

### Challenge: 7 / 10

I did find myself dying sometimes. The skill involved is mostly aiming while moving. You can shoot or deflect but there's rarely a good reason to choose one over the other.

### Fun factor: 5 / 10

I don't know what to keep saying about these games except that I guess it's fun to go around shooting people. In this case I feel like the game could be more responsive with things like recoil and telling how damaged the enemies are.

### Content: 4 / 10

Just three guns and three levels.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 5 / 10

Nice line art. I'm not sure what the proper name is when the style looks like pencil or pen. It kind of reminds me of Mateusz Skutnik.

### Originality: 4 / 10

This includes some cool twists compared to the usual defense games.

### Challenge: 9 / 10

It takes a while to get in the groove and figure out how to deal with each enemy weapon. At first I felt like there were some impossible situations but after a few playthroughs it feels like you took care to make sure there's always a way to deal with the incoming blades.

### Fun factor: 6 / 10

I found myself wanting to retry over and over to see if I could get past the axes.

### Content: 2 / 10

Very small game, even with three attacking weapon types.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 6 / 10

Neat green on black pixel art, though pretty basic.

### Originality: 2 / 10

Just a normal defense game.

### Challenge: 9 / 10

It has a nice progression from easy to hard, but there could be more skills involved.

### Fun factor: 7 / 10

I had a pretty fun time, but it's not super exciting.

### Content: 9 / 10

20 waves, a bunch of different enemy types, and lots of upgrades.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 3 / 10

Just a cute little menu

### Originality: 10 / 10

It's a little bit like Everybody Edits, but I have not seen a collaborative animation program like this before.

### Challenge: 3 / 10

Well I know there's not really supposed to be a challenge, but right now there's the challenge of getting it to work because I'm guessing the server isn't running. It's too bad this wasn't frontpaged since it seems to require a lot of participation.

### Fun factor: 5 / 10

I assume this would be fun if it worked.

### Content: 1 / 10

I guess the content is supposed to be user-provided, so right now there's just an editor that doesn't work.

Oops, server was down for a bit. Should be fixed now!

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 5 / 10

Just a bunch of out-of-place Mario sprites slapped together.

### Originality: 3 / 10

Not a lot of new stuff here.

### Challenge: 8 / 10

At first I thought some of these fights were impossible, and the difficulty settings in the menu don't seem to do anything. On the other hand, on many screens you can just skip the fight and go straight to the ending. It seems overly punishing for the lava to send you all the way back though.

### Fun factor: 7 / 10

The game gives you a great sense of speed and fast-paced action. I really feel like I'm flinging myself at my enemies like a Dragon Ball character or something. It's unfortunate that you can't deal damage by slamming your opponent against a wall or knocking him off a ledge. I also wish you could use the sword more. And boy is the game glitchy.

### Content: 10 / 10

Tons of playable chapters in the main game and more in the extras. Lots of enemies to fight and so many cool moves to use against them. There are even multiple control schemes in the options, though I noticed that the in-game tutorials don't change to match the controls you've selected.

### Aesthetics: 6 / 10

Nice title art and silly-looking characters on a boring background.

### Originality: 1 / 10

Kind of a standard arena shooter with very few features.

### Challenge: 3 / 10

This is exceptionally easy. I got to 40k around five minutes in and I was still at full health and I had two med kits waiting for me on the screen in case I did ever get hurt. There doesn't even seem to be a need to dodge.

### Fun factor: 5 / 10

I guess it's always kind of fun to run around shooting things.

### Content: 4 / 10

Three characters, three gun types, and three enemy types.

### Aesthetics: 10 / 10

Really impressive 3D graphics. I like that there are multiple camera options.

### Originality: 5 / 10

It's kind of an ordinary JRPG but you came up with some cool ideas. I like that your perspective changes in different areas. Some of the skills are cool, like the one that uses an item from your inventory as ammunition.

### Challenge: 7 / 10

I think JRPGs are usually on the easy side, maybe because they target a younger audience, but your game actually provided a nice challenge in some of the later fights. In addition to the combat, there's also the challenge of navigating the maze-like areas.

### Fun factor: 8 / 10

You did a great job keeping this interesting despite the pacing issues that JRPGs normally have. I like being able to interact with the environment and finding items.

### Content: 10 / 10

Lots of items, enemies, and areas to explore. There are even a bunch of playable characters. I like seeing how my party follows me, because when I walk backwards they do too.

Treasure Hunt review!

### Aesthetics: 5 / 10

You certainly put a lot of effort into your style but I still feel like I'm looking at a bunch of icons instead of real art.

### Originality: 8 / 10

It's a pretty unusual take on point-and-click adventures.

### Challenge: 4 / 10

The whole reason this game took me a long time was because I couldn't tell how was supposed to enter the corridor, which was apparently not something the game was actively trying to hide from me. Beyond that, it's pretty easy to just click around until you find the right stuff, though very few of the objects you can examine seem to serve a purpose. It also took me a while to figure out how to switch between characters.

### Fun factor: 4 / 10

The interface is a bit of a drag. At first I was worried the command line was going to be the whole game, and it does not work well at all. Slow-scrolling text that you have to wait for if you want to read it. Commands that you can only enter if you're on the home screen and they take you to another screen where you can enter a command but are really just supposed to press enter because commands don't do anything there. Then in the actual game you gotta deal with the same slow text, only now it prevents you from quickly trying out lots of environment interactions.

### Content: 6 / 10

Multiple game modes. Two controllable characters. A bunch of rooms in a house with lots of interactive objects. Not bad.
