How did you get the live action segments to look stop-motion? Was it just a slow frame rate?
Ogre-D, you're an idiot, both for wanting to force fabricated diversity and for underrating the effort that went into this video.

The 'live action' parts are also shot as photographs. We rehearse with the students to work on slow motion acting, then shot the opening sequence as still photography.
It's about twice as long as it needs to be. Not a lot of content. Not a lot of variety in the lyrics or music.
I kind of agree with you there. The only reason I left it this long was because it seemed too short, and I already told people my next cartoon would be 2 mins.
Was this inspired by Conan O'Brien?
It honestly wasn't I've always thought the villager was a creepy mofo and since the memes began of how evil he actually was I decided to animate something based on that. I did think the conan clip was hilarious though.
So... if Joe Porter did the voices in this cartoon....
Did he do the voice at the end telling me to subscribe to him?
No that was me
Really good, but I seem to be pretty lost without viewing the previous episodes.
I didn't realize Sac was short for something. I figured lots of swamp creatures are liable to have sacs of some kind or another.
The only reason it is Sac, is because I couldn't fit the whole title in on here haha
And yes I encourage everyone to watch the first episode, thanks!
Is the whistling soundtrack a tribute to Mickey's Tugboat?
I don't think so, but who knows! It's a French band called La Squadra Zeus that I came across on Bandcamp: https://lasquadrazeus.bandcamp.com/
I believe you mean vulnerable, not venerable.
Thanks for pointing that out! my bad
Stuff like this makes me say Newgrounds should have its own television station.
I know people will compare this to Scooby Doo, but I hope they remember that the original Scooby Doo was all about proving that the monsters weren't real.
Thanks for the Scooby Doo comparisson! That's actually a comparisson we were after a little, purely to highlight that there isn't really anything like Scooby Doo that's on TV now that's new. Kids horror is a genre that's been overlooked recently and we hoped to readress that wtih Cornlius and Toots!
I don't get it.
Also, did you animate this in Flash? The facial morphing must've been tough.
Also, you prolly coulda gotten a better Tom Cruise impression.
Did you see the film? It'd make more sense if you watched it.
Yup, it was Flash! Thanks for noticing the facial animation, it's just a matter of figuring out the mechanics behind the effect, once you get that it's not too difficult to implement. :)
Eh, I like this Tom Cruise. I think his voice fits the silly mannerisms I have him playing out better than the real one might.
SirUndead seems to be channeling Edwyn Tiong. But everyone seems to have the same disinterested, sarcastic tone of voice. It gets kind of annoying.
Really nice animation of course. Is that lady detective wearing a sports bra to work?
