[Alan Wake Tribute]

Alan Wake is one of your favorite games? You must be deprived. It was a terrible game, contrived and uninspired. The facial animations and lip-syncing were ridiculously bad. There was nothing new or exciting to scare you, just creepy enemies attacking you as usual, like Bioshock or any number of horror shooters. It's the same thing over and over again throughout the whole game, and it totally fails to scare you. A horror game should have you running for your life all the time, but this game is full of enemies that generally die pretty easily and don't pose enough of a threat to really be scary. Also, the story is lame and has nothing to do with the gameplay. Alan apparently has the power to affect reality with his writing so why not incorporate that into the game? Instead it's given some ill-conceived lip service. Nothing makes any sense and there doesn't seem to be any point to the game at all. The only thing I liked about it was that it was set in my state so the scenery was nice.

Anyway, that's just my opinion. Your animation ain't bad, actually.

I don't understand how my liking to one game effects how many other good ones I might've played. Just because your opinion is different doesn't mean that I'm "deprived." I consider myself a pretty casual gamer and have played various other games that I've really enjoyed. The thing that really stood out to me in Alan Wake was the story. Sure, the gameplay can be repetitive, but it's a story driven experience that kept me entertained throughout. I found it original, very inspiring, and above the typical shooter plot. Also, Alan Wake isn't a horror game, it's a psychological action thriller. I don't get why that's such a common misconception considering it's typed on the cover of the game. The gameplay is directly related to the story, even if you have the slightest bit of understanding of it. And certain things you mentioned, such as the lip syncing and incorporating gameplay elements have already been fixed and implemented into the new game. I do agree with you on some of those points, but it didn't take away from the experience at all for me. In the end, it's all just different opinions though. Thanks for the comment!

Would've been better if it was unscripted. Sari's lines sound contrived and unnatural, and it comes across as more annoying than funny. If she independently decided to critique your stuff then this would be good, but otherwise it's not worth making.

Don't you think there'd be some sexual tension as they got older? I mean, can dragons and ponies have sex? I guess ponies are mammals and dragons are reptilian, but this is magic we're talking about. Twilight is a unicorn pony after all. I know you can see their genitals but that's because it's a kids' show and it doesn't mean they don't have genitals. And if they can have sex, can they interbreed? Are we gonna see some baby unicorn pony dragons? It looks like baby dragons aren't as big as the size of adult dragons would imply so a half dragon half unicorn pony shouldn't be too big to come out of Twilight Sparkle's vagina, hopefully. Then again, I can't say how big her vagina is because like I already said we don't see it in the show. But it could always stretch out during pregnancy and childbirth and whatnot, and there's always magic! Friendship with benefits is magic.

I played Immortal Souls on Armor Games. I remember thinking the animation was by far the best part of the game. The code was seriously glitchy. Nice work.

Well it's a fairly good representation of your faith, and I certainly can't begrudge you just because you're religious and are trying to tell people about it. However I do take issue with you saying this is about Jesus and NOT religion.

Why should Jesus be separated from religion? I feel like people do that in an attempt to say that Jesus is above religion. See there are thousands of religions out there and Christians don't want their religion to be lumped in with the rest because they want it known that their religion is special because it's the only one that's true. But everybody thinks their religion is true. Otherwise they'd have a different religion. So in the end this attitude that Jesus is somehow different from religion comes across as bigoted and intolerant. If being a religion somehow indicates that it's unlikely to be true then of course every religion wouldn't want to be called one anymore.

Christians seem to sense that the religion boat is sinking in the rising tide of reason and critical thinking so they want off. Religion doesn't get the point across anymore so they want people to know that they're better than religion.

what i just meant by jesus, and not religion was that i was just saying the story of who jesus is as a person.
and you're right, it's up for that person to choose what to believe :)
