I played the iPhone version, so I was able to get the no hints achievement on my first try, even though the combinations are often very different in this one.

I don't understand how you get more points. New combinations don't seem to give more points if they create old elements.

And... you don't invent beasts like the author comments say. It starts you out with those.

So did you make this in HTML5 or the new version of Flash?

The mouse controls need to be changed so that you can have the mouse in the center no matter which direction you're looking. You should be able to use WASD and arrow keys simultaneously to look, strafe, etc.

Well made. Very scary.

The gameplay is non-existent, but that's okay for an art game. But it kinda fails as an art game too. It doesn't really seem to have anything important to say. The best thing about this game is the graphics, and they're pretty bad too.

If you keep holding up when you beat the level with the wall lifting, the sound of the wall lifting will continue into the next level.

Also, why do you have the ability to duck and slide? This never serves any purpose. I kept adjusting blocks in levels where I could do that to see if there was ever a hole I could slide through but not walk through, and there wasn't. Looks like your hit box is the same whether you're standing or crouching. A lot of platformers will just put in a duck ability and then forget about it without realizing they need to make it affect the game somehow.

There is an implied back story, but it seems to be missing an intro where the lumberjack's wife is stolen by an evil ghost. Why is your forest infested with monsters? Why do you have to fight a cat wizard and an ice dragon? Is Angry Jim in league with the evil ghost? And what happens to the ghost at the end? How come you don't have to fight it? Did killing the dragon kill the ghost somehow? Why is the forest safe now? Why are you able to go home happy? And if you had an airship the whole time, why didn't you use it to fly to your wife to begin with?

I know the Newgrounds genre choices aren't perfect, and while it is a defense game and you're in a tower, it's not a tower defense game.

The interesting thing about this game is that you can't save up your money. You can only buy things with the money you made on your latest attempt. So if there's an expensive item, you gotta make that much money in one run. Also, the achievements are all for what you can do in a single run, never for cumulative amounts.

I'm sure everyone's biggest complaint is that you can't continue after you win the game to get all the upgrades and achievements.

Also, you might wanna fix it so that you can't go off the sides of the screen by holding down the mouse button.

And why is the boss a giant chicken with an octopus on its tongue?

I know this is an alpha version and so I should expect plenty of problems, but I wanna make sure you know you need to make a way to skip through text scrolling while still allowing the player to read the text. That is to say, either you should get rid of text scrolling entirely and have the whole text appear instantly, or you should make the next button make the text finish scrolling if it hasn't already, and only skip to the next bit of text if it has finished scrolling.

At least you have an option to skip text, unlike Skyward Sword.
